Nashville is supposed to be the most expensive one to fly. There are nine major carriers operating at Nashville International Airport (BNA). Greyhound bus service links Nashville to the rest of the US. The best scenic approach for the city is along the Natchez Trace Parkway.

There are various options for the visitors to travel from the airport to the Downtown such as Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) bus, the complimentary shuttle services provided by the hotels, taxi cabs or rental car services. Best way to go to Opryland is the river taxi whereas getting around most of the attractions and districts is easier by a car. MTA operates a trolley-like shuttle between major tourist sites at the riverfront and out to Music Row.

May through September is the best season to conduct Nashville's main music fests and other public celebrations. Daytime the temperature rises but May through September is the best period to get a real taste for life in Music City. For a happier visit October and November the climate is quite welcoming. Snowfall is heaviest in the months January and February whereas the driest months are August through October. Rainfall is fairly spread out over the year.
